Experienced Software Engineer - Java

Overview

Experienced Software Engineer – Java responsible for developing and integrating complex software components, supporting product commitments, and providing technical leadership for aviation-related systems.

What you'll do

• Develop and integrate complex software components into functional systems.
• Estimate user stories and tasks during sprint planning.
• Refine the backlog and clarify requirements with the Product Owner.
• Develop working software for committed team objectives and iteration plans.
• Design systems for testability and test automation.
• Track change requests, risks, timelines, and task progress.
• Prototype solutions and evaluate technical feasibility.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of software development experience, or a master’s degree with 11+ years.
• Strong programming skills in Java 8+, Spring Boot 3.x, Angular 12, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React JS.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ message brokers.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests using tools such as Jest.
• Experience with SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, Maven, Gradle, and shell scripting.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAFe projects and processes.
• DevOps experience using Microsoft DevOps and Azure.
• Angular or React Native experience for cross-platform mobile development.
• Aviation industry knowledge.
• JavaScript or Python scripting experience.
