Field Application Engineer

Overview

The Field Application Engineer (FAE) provides technical expertise to customers and internal teams by bridging product capabilities with customer requirements.

What you'll do

• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, including product demonstrations.
• Conduct technical consultations and recommend solutions based on customer needs.
• Build and maintain customer relationships by understanding technical requirements and objectives.
• Deliver training sessions for customers, sales teams, and partners.
• Create and maintain user documentation and application notes.
• Support sales with technical discussions, presentations, and proposal development.
• Travel to customer sites for on-site support, training, and customer meetings/events.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical.
• 5+ years of proven experience in a technical customer-facing role (e.g., field application engineering/technical consulting).
• Strong understanding of hardware and software systems, including embedded systems, networking, and software development.
• Proficiency in Microsoft tools like Excel and Power Point.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for conveying complex technical concepts.
• Ability to independently fix technical issues.
• Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) tools like Salesforce.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required (typically 25–50%).
