Field Service Engineer 1

Overview

The Field Service Engineer performs on-time, accurate preventative maintenance and supports troubleshooting and basic repairs for assigned medical equipment modalities. The role also assists with installations and more complex repairs under guidance while ensuring customer satisfaction through service excellence.

What you'll do

• Perform timely and accurate preventative maintenance on medical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and carry out basic service repairs on customer equipment.
• Assist more experienced field engineers with equipment installations and complex repairs.
• Coordinate solutions with team members and ensure timely customer communication and follow-up.
• Adhere to field modification instructions/instrument service information bulletins and hospital policies.
• Document all work performed daily, including debriefing and parts ordering.
• Work with customers/sales to recommend value-added services and use escalation processes as needed.

What you'll need

• Associate degree (or equivalent military education) and 2 years of experience servicing electronic equipment.
• Or high school diploma/GED and 4 years of relevant experience.
• Or completion of the GEHC Apprentice Program.
• Maintain a valid Driver’s License.
• Experience with web applications and Microsoft suite of products.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; no visa sponsorship.
• Availability for after-hours work and a rotating on-call schedule including weekends.
