Overview

Field Service Engineer at Lam Research providing on-site repair, maintenance, installation/relocation start-up, diagnostics, and technical support for complex semiconductor equipment.

What you'll do

• Provide on-site repair and maintenance service for complex electro-mechanical and electronic systems at customer sites.
• Perform installation/relocation start-up services for Lam’s semiconductor equipment.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and conduct diagnostics to isolate and solve issues down to the component level.
• Perform field modifications and updates while maintaining records and reports.
• Partner with customers at management and engineer levels, including running customer meetings and leading improvement programs.
• Provide technical instruction, leadership, and mentoring for more junior engineers.

What you'll need

• Minimum 8+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Or Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience.
• Previous experience in installation, maintenance, repair, or troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment.
• Proficiency interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and operation manuals.
• Ability to work in a clean room environment while wearing required protective safety equipment.
• Ability to travel frequently domestically and internationally and work a variety of shifts including overtime and on-call if needed.
