Field Service Engineer

Overview

Field Service Engineer delivering remote (standby) and field support for low to medium complexity service work, following safety and quality standards.

What you'll do

• Deliver high-quality service work across low to medium complexity projects.
• Provide remote technical support to customers during standby time.
• Work with customers on-site to identify operational improvement opportunities.
• Perform field service tasks, identifying technical issues via remote or on-site analysis.
• Assist with preparing materials and ensuring parts/equipment quality for service activities.
• Prepare work packs including risk assessments and method statements.
• Troubleshoot equipment/process failures and recommend proactive corrective actions.

What you'll need

• Have electrical and/or mechanical engineering skills, preferably for marine and ports.
• Experience in field services.
• Be flexible with schedules and self-sufficient in the field.
• Willing to work in demanding environments in the UK and internationally, including on and offshore.
• Have a relevant tertiary qualification in electrical engineering or demonstrated professional track record.
• Comfortable communicating with colleagues and customer stakeholders.
• Use Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and hold a valid UK driving license.
