Field Service Engineer / Jr. Field Service Engineer - East Midlands based (with UK/I + EU Travel)

Overview

Field Service Engineer / Junior Field Service Engineer responsible for installation, upgrades, repair, and preventative maintenance of vascular and cath lab diagnostic equipment.

What you'll do

• Install, maintain, calibrate, and upgrade vascular and cath lab diagnostic equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software field issues.
• Perform demo system maintenance and prepare systems for congresses.
• Document field service interventions per QA system requirements.
• Report capital equipment incidents per QA system requirements.
• Provide technical assistance and support for in-house training courses and congresses.
• Deliver system maintenance and troubleshooting training to customer biomedical engineering teams and Abbott sales/field clinical staff.

What you'll need

• Prior electronics service experience is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in electronics/engineering or similar is preferred (not essential).
• Strong electronic or mechanical engineering skills including troubleshooting.
• Computer skills: MS Office and Linux.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Full eligibility to work in the UK and travel to EU/Ireland without visa requirement.

• Location: United Kingdom > Maidenhead (Remote).
• Travel: 75% of the time; 80% of the role will be travelling in the first 2 years.
