Field Service Engineer - Canada (Alberta, Saskatchewan & Manitoba)

Overview

Provide field service support for medical devices and lasers across the Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba territory. The role covers installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, customer support and technical coordination.

What you'll do

• Commission, install and test products and equipment.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance, improvements, upgrades and installations.
• Respond to customer concerns and resolve quality assurance and medical safety issues.
• Manage schedules and communication with customers, dispatchers, managers and cross-functional teams.
• Manage inventory, records and the return of unused or defective parts.
• Support sales and promote maintenance contract offerings.

What you'll need

• Associate degree in electronics or equivalent education and experience.
• Two years of hands-on experience with advanced medical devices and medical lasers.
• Strong electronics, electricity and mechanics background.
• Experience connecting medical devices to hospital networks.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams and SharePoint.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the past three years.
• Ability to travel and work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in technology or engineering.
• IT training or experience.
• Operating room experience and knowledge of surgical center protocols.
• Working knowledge of ServiceMax/Salesforce.

Details

• Remote role supporting Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
• Must reside in Alberta preferred or Manitoba.
• Work independently 20% of the time and in the field 80% of the time.
• Overnight travel required 50% of the time or as needed.
