Field Service Engineer

Overview

The Field Service Engineer will install, troubleshoot, and repair liquid and gas equipment at customer facilities, and support prompt return of empty cylinders and canisters.

What you'll do

• Install new or modified equipment at customer facilities to meet specifications.
• Provide on-site technical assistance to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Handle liquid/gas canister changes and facilitate prompt return of empty cylinders and canisters.
• Maintain records of performance reports.
• Assist in development of service handbooks and bulletins based on field investigations and engineering changes.
• Ensure customer satisfaction across installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.

What you'll need

• Have a two-year technical school degree in engineering, science, or chemistry.
• Have 3+ years of field support/service experience with a capital equipment company.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate strong customer-interacting skills.

Details

• Location: Remote, Japan.
• On-duty phone needed and standby for 24 hours on call.
• Travel is necessary within Japan and overseas.
• Training will be provided to increase competency.
