Overview
Field Service Engineer I for the NYC territory, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing analytical instruments while delivering technical service to customers.
What you'll do
- Install analytical instruments (including electron microscopes and chromatography systems).
- Maintain and repair analytical instruments to keep them operating at peak performance.
- Troubleshoot complex problems using technical expertise and analytical thinking.
- Deliver technical service and represent the company with professional customer service.
- Build and maintain customer relationships while supporting critical research and innovation.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree; no prior experience required.
- Experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing sophisticated analytical instruments preferred.
- Strong electronics and mechanical aptitude, including diagnosing issues to the component level.
- Excellent customer service skills and strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Fluency in English required; proficiency with Windows, MS Office, and service management software.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and documentation.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 50–75%.

- Work schedule: Mon–Fri.
- Work mode/location: Remote; NYC territory; New York, USA.
- Physical requirements: lift up to 40 lbs without assistance; also able to lift up to 50 lbs per listing; stand for extended periods.
