Overview
Field Service Engineer providing professional customer support by installing, maintaining, validating, and repairing analytical instrumentation at customer sites in the CO area.
What you'll do
- Install, maintain, validate, and repair PerkinElmer and/or multivendor instrumentation at customer sites.
- Complete preventive maintenance calls within prescribed time frames and performance standards.
- Provide remedial maintenance for non-contract customers and warranty services billed in the field as applicable.
- Drive toward zero service recalls.
- Maintain up-to-date electronic and repair documentation for dispatch, inventory, and service support.
- Upload and download required data to ensure service system integrity.
- Manage assigned company assets and maintain inventory levels with appropriate records.
What you'll need
- Education in Applied Science/Biology/Chemistry/Electronics/Mathematics/Engineering or related military experience.
- 2+ years experience troubleshooting, repairing, and providing qualification services in a laboratory setting (with the Bachelor’s path) or 4+ years (with the Associate’s path).
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills with ability to interpret client requests.
- MS Office skills including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions, read technical bulletins and service manuals, and work safely with potential electrical/chemical/radiologic/biologic hazards using universal precautions.
Nice to have
- Experience using Microsoft 365.
- Detailed knowledge of analytical equipment, laboratory environment, and/or instrument control software.
- Ability to travel via air/vehicle/other transportation as required by territory or customer base.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Vendor-issued certification on relevant laboratory equipment.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety practices as defined by the company and/or customer site safety code.

- Location: predominantly in the CO area (US Remote - CO).
- Work arrangement: remote field role.
