Financial Accounting Associate

Overview

Support financial accounting, reporting, regulatory returns, reconciliations, and financial control activities for business and control functions.

What you'll do

• Review ledger accounts, financial statements, and regulatory reports.
• Gather and validate financial data from reporting systems.
• Prepare and review US regulatory returns.
• Prepare account reconciliations and certifications.
• Analyze financial accounting procedures, methods, and systems.
• Participate in UAT testing and go-live activities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and provide functional advice and training.

What you'll need

• At least 6 months of experience in finance, accounting, analytics, financial reporting, accounting reporting, or risk reporting.
• Experience may be demonstrated through work, training, military experience, or education.
• Knowledge of financial controls and internal control policies.
• Ability to review data for accuracy and resolve issues with colleagues and managers.
• Ability to support compliance and risk management requirements.
• Knowledge of tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, Confluence, or Workiva.

Nice to have

• CA, CFA, ICWA, or MBA-Finance qualification with 2+ years of finance and accounting experience.
• Experience preparing regulatory returns for a financial services organization.
• Process improvement and change management experience.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
