Inventory & Cost Accountant (1-4 years of experience)

Overview

Inventory & Cost Accountant role focused on accurate inventory and cost accounting records and supporting month-end reporting activities.

What you'll do

• Handle month-end and during-month Inventory & Cost Accounting and reporting activities.
• Support inventory valuation, plant closing activities, and pre/post close analysis.
• Maintain inventory general ledgers and perform transfer profit reconciliations.
• Prepare metrics, dashboards, and KPIs for management reporting.
• Drive process improvements and keep SOP documentation up to date.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls (SOX & Non-SOX) and support internal/external audits.
• Support regional business analysts and finance managers/controllers as needed.

What you'll need

• 1–4 years of relevant cost accounting experience in the cost accounting area.
• Exposure to SAP MM.
• Semi/qualified cost accountant.
• Prefer manufacturing accounting, inventory accounting, and product costing & pricing exposure.
• Comfort with ERP environment for about 1 year (preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and understand business processes and systems.

Details

• Location: Hyderabad, Telangana.
• General shift: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
• Month-end shifts: may work APAC (5 AM to 2 PM), EMEA (11:30 AM to 8:30 PM), or US (5:30 AM to 2:30 AM) for 3–5 days.
• Work mode: Hybrid (3 days from office, 2 days remote).
