Financial Control Associate

Overview

Financial Control Associate to deliver and ensure the integrity of monthly financial information, reporting, and balance sheet controls for a business area.

What you'll do

• Deliver monthly financial information and value-added commentary and analysis for the business area.
• Support end-to-end control and ownership of franchise and legal entity balance sheets, including fixed assets accounting and project accounting.
• Provide legal entity recharge accounting with substantiation and balance sheet reconciliation for profit and loss accounts.
• Investigate process or system issues and highlight process improvement opportunities.
• Support systems testing, including user acceptance testing, and other system or process improvement initiatives.
• Prepare month-end accounting, including journal preparation, reviews, and account reconciliations.

What you'll need

• Experience delivering core financial control and reporting outputs (ledger close, balance sheet substantiation, statutory and management reporting, external audit).
• Experience in a financial services environment.
• Knowledge of IFRS Accounting Standards.
• At least four years of experience in financial control activities.
• Ability to identify, build, and enhance key relationships at senior level.
• Understanding of intercompany and contra account usage requirements and intercompany reconciliations and substantiation.
• Ability to capture trends of journals posted, reconciliations undertaken, and budget MI released.
