Financial Crime Specialist

Overview

Financial Crime Specialist role focused on complex initiatives to identify process improvements and support financial-crime risk assessments, investigations, and escalation.

What you'll do

• Identify opportunities for process improvements within defined responsibilities.
• Perform risk assessment and modeling to inform financial-crimes strategy and models.
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, and internal controls.
• Conduct data and onsite reviews to determine risk levels and recommend fraud prevention strategies.
• Perform investigative research and root-cause evaluation for complex financial-crime transactions and suspicious situations.
• Act as an escalation point for more complex cases and recommend resolutions.
• Represent the organization in court appearances, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.

What you'll need

• 2+ years of Financial Crimes, Operational Risk, Fraud, Sanctions, or Anti-Bribery/Corruption experience (or equivalent).
• Experience is demonstrated via work experience, training, military experience, or education.
• Ability to apply independent judgment on medium-risk deliverables.
• Conduct investigative research, root-cause evaluation, and consulting regarding complex cases.
