Financial Markets Advisory, Associate

Overview

Financial Markets Advisory (FMA) Associate role supporting client engagements with data-driven financial analysis and advisory work, often using BlackRock proprietary platforms.

What you'll do

• Develop, review, and deliver analyses to clients for financial markets and related topics.
• Use data and analytical skills to craft recommendations for client decision-making.
• Contribute to process and tool design and enhancement for scalability.
• Work on multi-disciplinary project teams alongside subject matter authorities and engagement managers.
• Interact frequently with FMA team members globally and partner teams across the firm.
• Participate in client pitches, presentations, and deliverables for senior leaders.

What you'll need

• 2-5 years of proven experience in the fixed income space.
• Experience preferably related to valuation and risk assessment of securitized products (e.g., RMBS/CMBS, asset backed securities, CLOs).
• Interest in financial institutions and their capital markets considerations.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and intellectual curiosity.
• Ability to synthesize complex financial analysis into clear, structured recommendations.
• Strong PowerPoint presentation and communication skills for senior stakeholder conversations.
