Forward Deployed Engineer, Compliance [Office of the CTO]

Overview

Forward Deployed Engineer in Compliance (Office of the CTO) who prototypes and drives adoption of AI tooling for regulatory workflows.

What you'll do

• Embed with Compliance leadership and frontline teams to surface automation opportunities.
• Prototype solutions rapidly using the company’s existing AI platform.
• Translate compliance workflows (e.g., transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, exam prep) into engineering requirements.
• Define build-vs-buy strategy for Compliance tooling, including internal build, adoption, procurement, or retirement.
• Design automated outputs to be traceable, reviewable, and defensible with auditability and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Drive adoption via brown-bags, prototype walkthroughs, and feedback loops.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of software engineering experience shipping production systems in ambiguous stakeholder environments.
• Hands-on experience deploying LLM-based applications (prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, hallucination guardrails, human-in-the-loop design).
• Ability to embed with non-technical domain experts and translate workflows into engineering requirements.
• Knowledge of compliance/regulatory systems concepts (transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, regulatory filing workflows, case management, audit-ready data handling).
• Familiarity with multi-agent orchestration concepts (handoffs, escalation, auditability).
• Experience in Forward Deployed/Solutions Engineering/embedded technical advisory roles, ideally in compliance-tech/RegTech/financial services.

Details

• Remote-first company; expects quarterly in-person “surges” for working sessions.
• Annual base salary range: $218,025–$256,500 USD (excludes equity, bonus, and benefits).
