Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE)

Overview

Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) partnering with US and Europe customers to build, deploy, and improve production-grade software solutions using an AI-powered platform.

What you'll do

• Work directly with customers in the US and Europe to understand technical and business challenges.
• Build, customize, and deploy solutions using Emergent’s AI-powered platform.
• Prototype and iterate on production-grade applications.
• Debug complex issues across applications, integrations, APIs, and workflows.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to drive customer outcomes.
• Turn recurring customer problems into scalable product and process improvements.
• Own projects end-to-end from requirements to deployment and iteration.

What you'll need

• Strong software engineering or technical problem-solving experience.
• Experience building and deploying web applications or software products.
• Comfort working with APIs, databases, debugging, and integrations.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and work across the stack.
• Strong understanding of software development fundamentals.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently in ambiguous situations.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/LLM-based tools.
