Freelance Market Researcher and Interviewer ( Bangalore or Mysore)

Overview

Freelance, self-employed contract role conducting store checks at liquor outlets for an illicit alcohol study for Heineken in India, coordinated remotely from Karnataka.

What you'll do

• Visit assigned liquor outlets and complete store checks.
• Interact professionally with outlet staff to gather the required information.
• Complete 10 store checks within the assigned 7-day fieldwork period.
• Travel to Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities as required.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of collected information.

What you'll need

• Fluency in the local language (Kannada) for research, and fluency in English for reporting.
• Experience in field research, retail audits, market research, or store checks is preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable visiting liquor outlets and interacting with outlet staff.
• Willingness to travel locally between assigned cities.
• Ability to complete the assigned store checks within the project timeline.
• High level of numeracy.
• Ability to work with, analyze, and interpret data.
• Strong interest in market research and tenacity in the pursuit of information.
• Comfortable travelling between major cities and nearby Tier 2 cities, if required.
• Male ICAs are preferred for this project due to the nature of the fieldwork.
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to find strong industry contacts.
• Previous experience working on a short-term contract basis or in a freelance capacity.
• Excellent time-management, organization and self-motivation skills.
• Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Flexibility to adapt to unexpected changes in project scope, starting dates, etc.
• Disposition to visit local stores to capture relevant product information and to discuss the industry with key staff.

• Self-employed contract work only.
• Must be located in Karnataka (Bangalore or Mysore).
• Project duration approximately 7 days; fieldwork to start at the end of the current week, Bangalore first.
• Total scope: 10 store checks (Bangalore: 7, Mysore: 3).
• Work is coordinated remotely; flexible hours from home.
