Overview

Freelance Video Creator & Editor focused on social content for two major brands. You’ll own end-to-end idea-to-delivery, including producing, shooting, and editing short-form social video.

What you'll do

• Generate original, quick-hit concept ideas and recurring social formats.
• Own creative development from briefs and cultural observations through sell-in.
• Handle end-to-end creation: scripting/outlining, storyboarding, production planning, directing, editing, and final delivery.
• Shoot and edit independently using compact camera/phone setups and platform-native editorial techniques.
• Direct talent and non-professional participants to keep performances natural and entertaining.
• Capture events and cultural moments in real time and produce timely edits and social cutdowns.
• Provide ideas and deliverables while iterating based on feedback and managing multiple timelines.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of hands-on experience creating social video, branded content, digital comedy, or creator-led work (or equivalent portfolio).
• Portfolio demonstrating personal involvement in concepting, shooting, directing, and editing short-form content.
• Experience with short-form storytelling including hooks, pacing, and comedic/performance timing.
• Proficiency operating compact camera systems/phones, recording clean audio, and basic lighting.
• Advanced proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro (or equivalent) to execute transitions/effects independently.
• Experience self-producing small shoots including casting, props, locations, releases, schedules, and file management.
• Ability to direct actors/creators/non-professional talent while keeping performances natural and platform-appropriate.
