Future Projects Thermal Engineer

Overview

Thermal Engineer for future aerospace projects, overseeing thermal architecture, sizing, and analysis for new space systems.

What you'll do

• Design conceptual and preliminary thermal control systems for new space systems.
• Provide technical solutions to optimize thermal management across subsystems.
• Perform preliminary thermal analyses to support design decisions.
• Communicate recommendations through analyses, reviews, documentation, and presentations.
• Support development from concept to operations, including feasibility and trade-off analyses.
• Manage procurement and supplier evaluation for thermal hardware.

What you'll need

• Master’s or PhD degree in aerospace engineering, heat transfer and fluid mechanics, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience with (Active) Thermal Control System development and procurement.
• Hands-on experience with thermal testing including thermal cycling, thermal vacuum, and thermal balance tests.
• Proficiency with thermal software (Thermal Desktop, ESATAN).
• Programming/data analysis skills (Python, MATLAB, C++).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
