GL Accountant

Overview

The GL Accountant will manage general ledger accounting, reconciliations, month-end close activities, reporting, and accounting process transitions with global stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Perform journal entries, accruals, account analysis, and month-end close activities.
• Prepare and review bank reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations using BlackLine.
• Support accounting process transitions from the US team.
• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements.
• Resolve accounting issues and support audits with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain process documentation, SOPs, and internal control requirements.

What you'll need

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a GL accounting environment.
• Graduate or postgraduate degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP and BlackLine.
• Experience performing bank reconciliations in a multinational organisation.
• Experience transitioning accounting processes from the US or supporting global migrations.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, internal controls, and month-end close.
• Strong analytical, communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

Details

• Hybrid work model with four days per week in the office.
• Location: Bangalore.
• Occasional late evening hours may be required during the transition period.
