Overview

GTC Senior Discipline Engineer responsible for a discipline domain including budget commitment, engineering project execution, problem solving, and technical collaboration.

What you'll do

• Demonstrate budget commitment by optimizing resource allocation and adhering to cost-effective engineering practices.
• Lead the technical execution of complex engineering projects involving Newness levels 2-3.
• Serve as a referent for critical problem solving using Valeo standard methodologies like QRQC.
• Communicate complex technical solutions and challenges to internal and external customers.
• Share technical knowledge and best practices across teams and divisions.
• Contribute to design standards development for Newness levels 2-3 and validate alignment with best practices.
• Actively participate in execution of the Discipline's Digitalization Roadmap and propose process improvements.

What you'll need

• Provide technical coaching and mentorship to Discipline Engineers.
• Use Valeo standard methodologies such as QRQC for root-cause identification and solutions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers and stakeholders from other Disciplines.
• Propose and contribute to innovative engineering solutions using existing technologies and methodologies.
• Identify patentable inventions and participate in the patent filing process (IP).
• Analyze problem-solving outcomes to identify systemic issues and improvements to processes and methodologies.
