GTSM - Site Reliability Engineer - CB&P

Overview

Site Reliability Engineer role focused on ensuring availability, reliability, and scalability of systems and services through proactive monitoring, incident response, and operational tooling.

What you'll do

• Monitor availability, performance, and scalability via proactive maintenance and capacity planning.
• Analyze outages/disruptions and respond, then implement prevention measures.
• Develop tools/scripts to automate operational processes and reduce manual workload.
• Track system performance/resource usage, identify bottlenecks, and apply performance tuning best practices.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate reliability, scalability, and performance practices into the SDLC.
• Participate in major incident management calls to identify root causes and drive resolution.
• Provide production support with rapid response and manage incident/escalated user priorities.

What you'll need

• Experience providing effective production support with rapid incident response.
• Ability to resolve issues, escalate appropriately, and communicate clearly with users and other teams.
• Ability to identify root causes during major incident management and resolve incidents.
• Flexibility to work shifts, with weekend support as required, including during releases.
• Linux/Unix experience and familiarity with UNIX commands for deployment, automation, and housekeeping.
• Experience with Java applications and Oracle/SQL with RDBMS exposure (queries, tuning concepts, data analysis).
• Experience with at least two middleware technologies (JBOSS, Apache Tomcat, Glassfish).

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices and containerized deployments (OpenShift/APIs) and public cloud technologies (AWS/Azure).
• Experience with monitoring tools (AppDynamics/ITRS/Observe and scheduling tools like TWS/Autosys).
• Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins/GitLab), Kafka, and Kibana/eSaaS.
• Skills in programming languages such as ML/AI/GenAI, Shell, Java, or Python will be preferred.

• Support team operates from Pune with 24x7 L1 support and L2 follow-the-sun coverage model.
