Overview
Lead Takeda’s GCC Design Engineering hub in Bengaluru as a global delivery organization. Own people, capacity, governance, performance, financial discipline, capability development, and delivery outcomes across Design Engineering and Engineering Operations.
What you'll do
- Lead the GCC operating model, roadmap, organization plan, workforce plan, budget, and objectives.
- Oversee multidisciplinary engineering delivery across design, construction support, commissioning, qualification, handover, and lifecycle support.
- Integrate Engineering Operations services, transitions, readiness, operational support, and service performance.
- Build leadership pipelines, workforce capability, succession plans, and critical-skill coverage.
- Own capacity planning, demand prioritization, resource allocation, forecasting, and escalation.
- Drive financial performance, vendor strategy, productivity, digital enablement, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure GMP, quality, EHS, regulatory, data integrity, cybersecurity, governance, and risk requirements are met.
What you'll need
- 15+ years of progressive experience in engineering, design management, engineering operations, capital project delivery, manufacturing support, or related disciplines.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or another regulated industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, computer science, project management, business, or a related discipline.
- Experience leading a large, multidisciplinary engineering or technical services organization.
- Experience building or transforming an engineering capability center, shared service, delivery hub, or comparable organization.
- Experience with organization design, workforce planning, talent development, financial management, vendor strategy, service management, and performance governance.
- Knowledge of multidisciplinary pharmaceutical design engineering, GMP compliance, CQV, digital engineering, BIM, analytics, and engineering information management.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree, MBA, or equivalent advanced qualification.
- Experience across multiple locations and cultures.
- Experience in owner-side, EPCM, engineering consultancy, global business services, or a comparable matrix organization.
