Overview

Head of Revenue Accounting for Deal Desk & Technical Accounting, owning complex revenue accounting judgments, deal desk processes, disclosures, revenue system enhancements, internal controls, and scalable processes as revenue and deal complexity grow.

What you'll do

• Serve as the authority on complex revenue recognition matters.
• Research, conclude, and document revenue accounting positions in written memos.
• Own deal desk responsibilities including contract approval guardrails and accounting approver role.
• Lead preparation of revenue-related footnotes and technical disclosure positions.
• Own the revenue system enhancement roadmap (requirements through post-launch optimization).
• Design, implement, and operate internal controls for revenue and technical accounting processes.
• Influence deal structures and automation roadmaps with Sales, Legal, Finance, engineering, and systems partners.

What you'll need

• Track record of leading and developing a high-performing accounting team.
• Deep expertise in revenue recognition under ASC 606 for software, subscription, or consumption-based models.
• Experience writing and defending complex technical accounting research, including disclosures under US GAAP.
• Experience designing, implementing, and operating internal controls over financial reporting (documentation and testing).
• Demonstrated ability to influence non-accounting stakeholders (Sales, Legal, and systems teams).
• Experience owning a revenue or billing platform (Zuora or comparable) as implementation lead or roadmap accounting owner.
• CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.

Details

• Location-based hybrid policy: expected to be in an office at least 25% of the time.
