Index Manager

Overview

Index Manager role within the Multi Asset Index Management Team, focused on managing custom and complex indices and ensuring accurate index data.

What you'll do

• Manage custom and complex indices while ensuring adherence to methodology.
• Apply corporate actions to index constituents in the SPDJI proprietary system.
• Interpret complex index methodologies and adjust data in calculation systems to match index rules.
• Perform index rebalances by running models, researching adds/drops, implementing changes, and communicating updates.
• Support implementation of indices into proprietary platforms, including coding for ad-hoc projects.
• Coordinate with internal teams (Product Management, Client Coverage, Index Engineering, IT Support) to support index management.

What you'll need

• 2+ years of experience in quantitative modeling, financial research, index management/production, or data analysis.
• Programming proficiency in Python or SQL and experience with large datasets.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills to solve problems in a timely and insightful manner.
• Ability to work independently across multiple projects with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex concepts simply.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
