Java Solution Architect & Lead Engineer, VP

Overview

VP-level Software Engineer role focused on designing, producing, testing, and implementing working software across the system lifecycle.

What you'll do

• Design, produce, test, and implement working software across the system lifecycle.
• Apply Agile methods to software development from the backlog.
• Deliver resilient, long-lived software and adapt to future needs.
• Provide architecture and formulate emergent design via ideas, experimentation, and prototyping.
• Design and develop software with automation for build, test, and deployment.
• Work with principal engineers, architects, and stakeholders to understand platform operation and business objectives.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of experience in Java.
• Experience with Spring Boot, microservices, and enterprise application development.
• Experience delivering solutions in complex, large-scale environments.
• Proven experience with application modernization, including transforming monolithic on-premises applications into cloud-native microservices.
• Hands-on experience with GCP services (Pub/Sub, GKE, BigQuery, Dataproc), Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines/DevOps practices.
• Strong expertise in Sybase, PostgreSQL, Oracle Coherence, and performance optimization for data-intensive applications.
• Deep understanding of application security and secure-by-design engineering practices.
