Junior Electrical Engineer

Overview

Junior Electrical Engineer to plan, design, and coordinate electrical systems for airport infrastructure projects, across concept to detailed design stages.

What you'll do

• Plan and design electrical systems for airport infrastructure projects.
• Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed electrical designs.
• Prepare single-line diagrams, load calculations, and power distribution layouts.
• Design medium-voltage and low-voltage power systems.
• Design and coordinate airfield and terminal electrical lighting-related systems.
• Perform electrical studies including voltage drop, short-circuit, and protection coordination.
• Support certification and operational readiness activities with the team leader/senior engineer.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience in electrical design.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (and/or master’s degree in electrical Power Systems or Airport Infrastructure).
• Previous electrical engineering/design role within an engineering consultancy.
• Hands-on experience with Autodesk AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit MEP.
• Awareness of Civil 3D for coordination purposes.
• Demonstrated knowledge of BS7671, BS 50122, BS5266, and BS5839.
• Experience working on commercial/industrial/infrastructure/airport projects.
