Junior Engineer I, SMT Maintenance

Overview

As a Junior Engineer I, SMT Maintenance, you’ll be responsible for SMT equipment maintenance, monitoring, adjustment, and repairs to improve quality and efficiency in Harman India operations.

What you'll do

• Maintain SMT production equipment including screen printers, SPI, reflow ovens, X-ray machines, and soldering systems.
• Check print and placement quality and analyze SPI and X-ray defects to support process parameter adjustments.
• For PTH work, check soldering quality for wave and selective wave and verify conformal coating quality and assembly line status.
• Implement preventive maintenance activities as per PM schedule and PM procedures.
• Monitor 5S status in the responsible area, including power cables, internet wiring, and pressed air pipes.
• Review daily production plan and shift production status and prepare a daily report based on test station and quality issues.
• Use hands-on experience to implement Poke yoke systems and line improvements.

What you'll need

• Have a Diploma in EEE or ECE, or a Diploma in mechanical.
• Have 3 to 4 years of relevant experience.
• Be able to check ESD-related contents in the responsible area (e.g., ESD mat, wrist strip alarm system, ionic fan).
• Provide feedback and advice to engineers from production operations to improve efficiency and quality.
• Maintain an active attitude for study to expand self-skills.
• Possess knowledge or experience with MPM, FUJI, SPI, Heller, or Teradyne (added advantage).
