Overview
Lead Workday HCM solution architecture and delivery across global HCM processes, data quality, controls, AI, and automation. Provide senior individual-contributor design expertise and technical guidance to a small experienced Workday team.
What you'll do
- Support Workday solution architecture across global HCM processes, ensuring configuration, business processes, reporting, and data flows are scalable, maintainable, secure, and fit for global use.
- Bring solution options and recommendations to major Workday design discussions, including tradeoffs, dependencies, risks, control considerations, and implementation paths.
- Support end-to-end delivery of prioritized Workday, AI, and automation use cases, including discovery, process design, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, adoption, and optimization.
- Build and prioritize a pipeline of AI and automation opportunities across the employee lifecycle using value, feasibility, risk, readiness, privacy, and control criteria.
- Maintain Workday data accuracy through scheduled audits, documented remediation, root-cause fixes, and clear ownership of recurring data defects.
- Ensure Workday configuration, business processes, and reports meet internal controls, privacy expectations, audit requirements, release standards, and production-support expectations.
- Provide technical solution guidance and work direction to a small experienced Workday team while helping analysts focus on high-value work and operate with clear ownership.
- Deliver Workday enhancements with clearer requirements, stronger testing, fewer avoidable defects, and better adoption.
- Improve the consistency, scalability, security, and usability of global HCM processes.
- Improve Workday data quality, reporting reliability, control readiness, and audit confidence.
- Strengthen Workday solution standards, documentation, and repeatable delivery practices.
- Evaluate and deliver AI and automation use cases responsibly where they improve employee experience, productivity, quality, or control outcomes.
What you'll need
- Strong hands-on experience configuring and supporting Workday HCM in a complex, global business environment.
- Broad working knowledge across the Workday ecosystem, including Core HCM, Reporting, Compensation, Talent, Recruiting, Absence, Time Tracking, Payroll, and related modules.
- Demonstrated ability to provide Workday solution design as a senior individual contributor, including business processes, security, reporting, integrations, testing, releases, and data governance.
- Experience translating People process needs into practical system designs that are scalable, supportable, secure, and easy to use.
- Ability to evaluate solution options, explain tradeoffs, and guide decisions across business, technical, privacy, security, and operational considerations.
- Strong understanding of Workday security concepts, role-based access, business process security, reporting access, and control implications.
- Experience improving data quality through audits, root-cause analysis, remediation plans, and sustainable ownership models.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to communicate clearly with People, IT, Security, Finance, Payroll, and business partners.
Nice to have
- Deep specialization in one or more Workday areas such as Reporting, Compensation, Talent, Recruiting, Absence, Time Tracking, Payroll, or Prism.
- Workday Pro certification or equivalent practical experience in HCM, Reporting, or related areas.
- Experience with EIBs, Core Connectors, Studio, APIs, calculated fields, advanced reporting, or integration troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting AI-enabled HR workflows, automation, employee self-service, case management, or People operations transformation.
- Experience supporting distributed global teams across multiple countries, regions, or compliance environments.
