Lead Cyber Defense Engineer, ITC

Overview

Lead the Cyber Data & Engineering work for the ITC Corporate Information Security team, building and operating security analytics pipelines and services.

What you'll do

• Build, deploy, and operate security analytics capabilities on AWS and Databricks.
• Develop and maintain medallion lakehouse pipelines (bronze/silver/gold) with schema governance and data quality checks.
• Develop and support production Python services for ingestion, enrichment, and integrations with SOAR and internal APIs.
• Use Databricks tools (Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, jobs/workflows) for centralized pipelines and security alerting/enrichment.
• Operate and improve pipeline reliability with monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, runbooks, and on-call participation.
• Deliver datasets and integration points enabling detection and hunting; coordinate with teams owning detection rule development.
• Implement Secure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines using infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or CDK) and Nike standard practices.

What you'll need

• Minimum 10 years of software development experience, including 2+ years in a lead or senior technical role.
• Comfort developing, testing, and using Python software development tooling.
• Hands-on Databricks experience with Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, and jobs/workflows, including performance tuning.
• Direct experience delivering and managing solutions on AWS (Lambda, S3, IAM, event-driven patterns, Terraform or CDK).
• Experience with medallion architecture, schema governance, data quality, idempotent ingestion, backfill/replay, and batch/streaming pipelines.
• Experience operating production data platforms with monitoring, troubleshooting, runbooks, and shared on-call support.
• Experience and comfort with REST APIs.
