Lead Engineer- Mechanical (Breakers)

Overview

Lead Mechanical Engineer responsible for specification, design, implementation, and testing for Eaton’s Air Circuit Breaker products.

What you'll do

• Lead specification, design, implementation, and testing for Air Circuit Breaker products.
• Drive complex PreLaunch and ProLaunch engineering projects.
• Design low-voltage protection low-voltage system/sub-system per marketing requirements.
• Perform component sizing, modeling, and simulation to meet customer requirements and UL/IEC standards.
• Design Air Circuit Breaker sub-systems (current path, mechanism, housing, arc chamber).
• Develop cost-effective and reliable solutions and reduce iterations via prototyping.
• Mentor the Pune ACB team for concept, detailed design, and industrialization activities.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8–12 years experience in low-voltage product development, mainly Air Circuit Breaker.
• Experience leading a team through all stages of the product development cycle.
• Experience with short circuit, temperature rise, and dielectric in line with UL/IEC standards.
• Hands-on product development using DfX methodology.
• Proficiency in Creo (3D modeling) and Inventor, plus SAP and Enovia.
• Knowledge of Agile ProLaunch and PreLaunch processes.
