Lead Power Electronics EMC Engineer

Overview

Lead Power Electronics EMC Engineer responsible for EMC strategy, testing, compliance, issue resolution, and technical leadership for electronic systems.

What you'll do

• Design and implement EMC strategies for regulatory and industry compliance.
• Conduct EMC measurements, analyses, and design reviews during product development.
• Lead pre-compliance and full-compliance test plans for emissions, immunity, and susceptibility.
• Resolve EMC issues involving grounding, shielding, filtering, crosstalk, noise coupling, and PCB layout.
• Define and maintain EMC requirements and flow them down to subsystems.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and mechanical engineering teams on EMC practices.
• Lead EMC documentation, reporting, compliance evidence, and risk assessments while mentoring engineers.

What you'll need

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a closely related field.
• Several years of hands-on EMC design, testing, and compliance experience.
• Strong understanding of grounding, shielding, and filtering techniques.
• Knowledge of global EMC standards including CISPR, EN, IEC, and FCC.
• Lab experience with EMC/RF equipment including spectrum analyzers, signal generators, LISNs, antennas, amplifiers, and anechoic chambers.
• Experience reviewing schematics and PCB layouts using design-for-EMC principles.
• Strong stakeholder management, mentoring, intercultural, and English communication skills.
