Lead Power Electronics engineer

Overview

Lead power electronics engineering covering design, sizing, simulation, testing/validation, and certification for LV/MV VSD/VFD systems from concept to execution.

What you'll do

• Lead design & development, sizing, simulation, testing & validation, and certification of LV/MV VSD/VFDs.
• Engineer MV/LV drive/VFD converters including core power electronics (AC/DC systems).
• Size converter input/output filters for harmonics and perform related calculations (loss budget, earth & protection circuits, arc flash, RCA).
• Validate part-level (e.g., IGBT, capacitors, transformer, reactors) and product-level for internal validation and third-party certification.
• Prepare and validate design documents including specifications, BOM, SLD, and drawings.
• Verify prototype functional performance under specified operating conditions and conduct FATs per applicable standards.
• Coordinate execution with system engineer and program/product/project managers and support manufacturing at factory/vendor facilities (with potential travel).

What you'll need

• Bachelor or Master degree in Power Electronics or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Min. 10+ years of power electronics design & testing expertise for industrial drives.
• Preferred knowledge of electrical design/simulation tools including MATLAB/Simulink, Pspice, PSCAD, or Ansys.
• In-depth knowledge of motors and drive control systems.
