Lead Software Engineer I (Data Engineer, ADF, SQL, Python, ETL, Datawarehouse)

Overview

Lead Software Engineer I responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting data and integration platforms, with day-to-day technical and delivery leadership in an Agile framework.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and operate Azure-based data and integration solutions with security, scalability, reliability, and cost awareness.
• Develop and optimize SQL-based data solutions including queries, transformations, and performance tuning.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation for repeatable deployments across environments.
• Implement data pipelines using Dagster for orchestration, Apache NiFi for ingestion/routing/transformation, and Databricks for data processing.
• Ensure data pipelines meet data quality, monitoring, and operational resilience standards.
• Lead day-to-day engineering execution and drive Agile ceremonies like backlog refinement, estimation, and sprint planning.
• Provide technical leadership through coordination, work allocation, and code/design reviews; handle production issue analysis and root-cause investigations.

What you'll need

• 9+ years of experience (preferably in healthcare domain).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience on Microsoft Azure, Dagster, Apache NiFi, and Databricks.
• Strong SQL and data warehousing concepts.
• Strong DevOps/CI-CD experience with automated pipelines and release governance.
• Experience operating within an Agile framework, including prioritization and stakeholder alignment.
• Strong communication skills working directly with stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in Power Platform or familiarity with AI/ML model integration into applications.

• On-site role located in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
• Reports to Staff Engineer and is part of the Global IT Data& AI team.
