Legal Associate

Overview

Legal Associate (Privacy) supporting and progressively leading privacy operations and advisory activities across defined business areas.

What you'll do

• Provide practical, process-based privacy guidance and escalate complex or high-risk matters.
• Independently manage lower-to-medium complexity Privacy Risk Assessments (PRAs) and produce reports and metrics.
• Act as a point of contact for records of processing activities (ROPAs), Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), incidents, and privacy notice updates.
• Support negotiation of standard privacy clauses and contracts using established playbooks.
• Support Privacy-by-design implementation in projects.
• Support key privacy programme operations, including Privacy Risk Assessments, DSARs, ROPAs, incident management, and compliance tracking.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and standardisation of privacy processes.

What you'll need

• Legally qualified.
• 3–5 years’ experience in data protection, privacy, or related compliance areas.
• Strong understanding of privacy compliance processes, including PIA and DSAR handling.
• Ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders in a global environment.
• Practical fluency with technology functionality and capabilities, including understanding systems, digital tools, and data flows.
• Understanding of where privacy and cyber responsibilities overlap and require hand-off.
• Demonstrated ability to own and deliver workstreams with limited supervision.
