Manager, Infrastructure Capex Accounting

Overview

Manager, Infrastructure Capex Accounting to run end-to-end accounting for Anthropic’s owned infrastructure fixed assets and capex, including monthly close and fixed asset tracking.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end capex and fixed asset accounting, including monthly close, CIP tracking, reconciliations, roll-forwards, and flux analysis.
• Apply technical accounting under ASC 360 to complex infrastructure arrangements (capitalization, useful lives, impairment, disposals, and asset retirement obligations).
• Partner with Data Center Operations, Legal, and Finance during contract negotiation to ensure accounting implications are understood before commitments.
• Explain financial statement impacts of non-finance stakeholders’ decisions in clear terms.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve upstream data pipelines for asset receipt, deployment, and in-service dates.
• Design and scale systems, processes, and controls for a growing fixed asset portfolio and drive process improvements/automation.
• Serve as an external auditor point of contact for fixed asset and capex accounting matters.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge of ASC 360 for infrastructure/data center/compute-related assets.
• Hands-on experience with a significant fixed asset portfolio in a high-growth environment.
• Strong analytical abilities working with large, complex datasets.
• Experience mentoring junior accounting professionals.
• Ability to translate technical accounting concepts for non-finance stakeholders.
