Overview
Manager Manufacturing & Process Engineering leads a team of manufacturing engineers to optimize production processes and support new product introductions in a regulated manufacturing environment.
What you'll do
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality using Lean and Six Sigma.
- Provide hands-on engineering support to resolve manufacturing issues and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate on new product introduction to ensure manufacturability and lead process validation and equipment qualification.
- Evaluate and deploy new equipment and automation solutions.
- Partner with Quality teams to maintain process controls, conduct RCA/CAPA, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Lead engineering projects and work cross-functionally with Production, Supply Chain, and R&D.
What you'll need
- Minimum 9+ years manufacturing engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree (or 7+ years with a Master’s degree).
- 5+ years supporting regulated manufacturing environments (FDA, ISO 13485, cGMP, or equivalent).
- 3+ years of direct people leadership experience managing engineering or technical teams.
- Experience leading capital equipment projects, facility expansions, or manufacturing process implementation from concept through qualification and production.
- Experience with process validation, equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), change control, and risk management methodologies.
- Proficiency with manufacturing and quality systems including SAP, Oracle, Maximo, CMMS, TrackWise, or MasterControl (or equivalent).
- Fluency in German and English (written and spoken).
Nice to have
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt), or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience in highly regulated manufacturing environments such as medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology.
- Experience with manufacturing automation and digital manufacturing technologies such as IIoT, MES, SCADA, PLCs, or Industry 4.0.
