Manager - Sales (Road Freight)

Overview

Manager role in sales for road freight, responsible for building client relationships and growing revenue from domestic road freight services.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Understand customer logistics requirements and propose suitable Road Freight solutions.
• Prepare and present commercial proposals and negotiate pricing and terms with customers.
• Achieve defined sales targets for revenue, volumes, and profitability.
• Develop a strong sales pipeline and ensure regular follow-up with prospects.
• Conduct market research to identify potential customers, market trends, and competitor activities.
• Coordinate with Operations, Pricing, and other internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Ensure timely resolution of customer queries and escalations.
• Monitor customer profitability and identify opportunities for account growth and cross-selling.
• Maintain accurate sales reports, customer data, and pipeline updates in the relevant systems.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, pricing guidelines, and commercial processes.

What you'll need

• 5–10 years of experience in Business Development/Sales within Road Freight, Transportation, Logistics, or Freight Forwarding.
• Proven track record of new client acquisition and revenue generation.
• Strong understanding of domestic road freight/FTL/LTL solutions.
• Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
• Result-oriented with a strong focus on achieving sales targets.
