Manufacturing Engineer-GCC

Overview

Manufacturing Engineer-GCC supports and drives improvements to critical manufacturing functions by working between builders and manufacturing partners. The role analyzes manufacturability and costs, develops proposals/quotations, and provides DFx and automation feedback.

What you'll do

• Review and analyze models, drawings, parts lists, and other data for manufacturing feasibility, requirements, and minimum lead time.
• Generate quotes using analysis and software recommendations, or coordinate with external suppliers for quoting parameters.
• Create cost calculators to enable in-house quoting for new service offerings.
• Provide DFx feedback to improve manufacturability, reduce fabrication cost, or improve assembly ease.
• Feed back to the quoting software team to improve automated quoting accuracy.
• Generate 2D drawings following ANSI/ASME Y14.5 standards.

What you'll need

• 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent technical training.
• Understanding of GD&T and coordinate tolerancing.
• Knowledge of manufacturability and limitations of common metals and plastics.
• Experience with CNC machining and 3D printing is required.
• Meticulous, detail-oriented work with an inclination for documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
