Retrofit Manufacturing Engineer

Overview

Retrofit Manufacturing Engineer supporting retrofit solutions for aircraft airworthiness and customer operations. You will prepare and validate Embodiment Instruction Documents (EIDs) and support the service bulletin embodiment process.

What you'll do

• Interpret and analyze design definitions including installation drawings and cabin/mechanical structures principles.
• Analyze PRE and POST 3D design data to define modification scope.
• Prepare EIDs with visual instructions for aircraft modifications.
• Develop or modify Bill of Materials (BOM) and validate embodiment process sequences.
• Review and approve supplier-generated EIDs against Airbus quality standards.
• Provide Embodiment Instructions data to Service Bulletin production, material supply, and internal stakeholders.
• Support airworthiness activities and the Safety Management System.

What you'll need

• Have a B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering.
• Have 5 to 8 years experience as a Retrofit Solutions Engineer (RSE) or Manufacturing Engineer (ME) for aerospace projects.
• Have knowledge of ATA chapters 25, 21, 38, and 11 for engineering/retrofit activities.
• Know cabin/mechanical systems and structures installation.
• Have Airbus design tools experience including CATIA V5, VPM, and Pass.
• Be able to read, understand, and interpret full 3D engineering drawings and specifications.
• English advanced level is mandatory.
