Manufacturing Engineering Cost Modeler (Remote)

Overview

Remote Manufacturing Engineering Cost Modeler at Pratt & Whitney (RTX) responsible for developing and maintaining manufacturing cost models that inform part cost forecasting and business decisions.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain cost models and methods to support part cost forecasting and analysis.
• Analyze engineering changes, part drawings, supplier information, and manufacturing data to assess impacts on manufacturing costs.
• Collaborate with engineering, Global Supply Chain, and the Partnership Program Office to ensure alignment on cost modeling strategies.
• Support Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) evaluations by providing cost estimates and financial assessments.
• Evaluate the business implications of new product designs, technology advancements, and design changes.
• Contribute to manufacturing cost reduction initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Participate in supplier and partner negotiations to substantiate cost model elements.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical) or related technical field and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Experience in creating and analyzing cost models for manufacturing processes.

Nice to have

• Experience in Export Control and CORE Apprentice Level training (Continuous Improvement Tools).
• Basic understanding of Supply Chain/Strategic Sourcing processes, including Long-Term Agreements (LTA).
• Previous use and familiarity with CAD software.

• Remote role, working primarily offsite (from home); may be expected to travel to site as needed.
