Manufacturing Engineering Development Program

Overview

A two-year Manufacturing Engineering Development Program focused on building technical and leadership expertise through two 12-month manufacturing engineering assignments, on-the-job training, and classroom education.

What you'll do

• Promote shop-floor safety initiatives and best practices.
• Ensure manufacturing processes meet aerospace quality and regulatory standards.
• Design and optimize processes, tooling, fixtures, cycle times, and line balancing.
• Support shop-floor troubleshooting with operations and quality teams.
• Implement Lean and Six Sigma improvements to increase throughput and reduce costs.
• Analyze manufacturing data and support automation project execution.
• Maintain work instructions, process documentation, PFMEAs, and control plans.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Production, or Metallurgy Engineering.
• 1–5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in aerospace fabrication, machining, or a similar technical domain.
• Minimum 3.0/4.0 cumulative GPA without rounding, or 7.5/10.0 without rounding.
• Experience with manufacturing problem-solving and manufacturing knowledge.
• GD&T skills and ability to interpret blueprints.
• Ability to work with teams on advanced manufacturing technology.

Nice to have

• Experience with laser processing, EDM, or Wire EDM.
• Exposure to AS9100, NADCAP, DoE, DFM, or DFMA.
• Lean Manufacturing experience, including value stream mapping, standard work, 5S, or root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with Excel, Python, or Power BI for manufacturing data analysis.
• Prior internship or co-op experience.
