Mechanical Engineer

Overview

Mechanical Engineer responsible for the mechanical design and development of power generator package systems and subsystems.

What you'll do

• Design and develop mechanical systems for power generator sets (Diesel/Gas gensets).
• Perform mechanical design calculations for structural components and subsystems.
• Prepare and review technical documentation and drawings (GA, manufacturing drawings, piping layouts, BOM).
• Conduct or coordinate mechanical analyses including stress, vibration, thermal, noise, and acoustic assessments (FEA/CFD where needed).
• Ensure designs comply with applicable international standards and regional/customer regulations.
• Coordinate with manufacturing teams and provide technical support across sales, service, procurement, and projects.
• Support prototype builds, factory acceptance tests (FAT), commissioning, design reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement.

What you'll need

• Hold an engineering degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
• Have 7–9 years of experience in generator package design, leading gas or diesel reciprocating generator package development.
• Demonstrate experience in advanced design processes and computer-aided engineering in a manufacturing environment.
• Have power train calculation expertise for engines, alternators, couplings, AVMs, and mounting frames.
• Be able to conduct and sign-off cooling system calculations, including extreme ambient/altitude performance and noise/vibration characteristics.
