Mechanical Engineer

Overview

Mechanical Engineer role focused on designing and analyzing mechanical systems, equipment, and packaging for product lifecycle execution.

What you'll do

• Design and analyze mechanical systems, equipment, and packaging.
• Conduct feasibility studies and testing for new and modified designs.
• Prepare design information for packaging documentation and support prototype fabrication.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support assembly, fabrication, and manufacturing using process understanding.
• Perform stack-up tolerance analyses and simulation work (e.g., FEA) with supervision as needed.
• Compile and review BoM inputs for large teams or multiple products and resolve design issues.

What you'll need

• Bachelors with 8 years of related experience, or Masters with 3 years, or PhD with 0 years.
• Experience performing feasibility testing and prototyping for design features.
• Knowledge to apply thermal and electrical engineering understanding to conceptual and architectural design.
• Ability to conduct or support failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
• Experience assisting with test plans, verification plans, and reliability/environmental testing for design elements.
• Capability to monitor project scope, schedule, and budgets.
