Mechatronics and Process Controls Engineer

Overview

Mechatronics and Process Controls Engineer to develop and optimize control solutions for temperature, pressure, flow, and vacuum systems used in semiconductor equipment and industrial automation.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and validate control algorithms for temperature, pressure, flow, and vacuum systems.
• Develop dynamic control models and perform system identification for thermal, fluid, and gas delivery systems.
• Tune and optimize PID, cascade, feedforward, and advanced process control strategies.
• Integrate and characterize MFCs, pressure sensors, control valves, heaters, pumps, and other instrumentation.
• Analyze performance, troubleshoot control issues, and implement corrective actions after root-cause investigations.
• Support laboratory testing, data collection, validation, and equipment qualification activities.
• Develop diagnostics and predictive maintenance solutions using data-driven approaches.

What you'll need

• 5-8 years of experience in process controls, automation, instrumentation, or semiconductor equipment.
• Control-loop design and tuning knowledge including PID and model-based control.
• Strong understanding of process dynamics, system identification, and controller tuning.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and/or Python for analysis and modeling.
• Experience with temperature controllers, pressure controllers, MFCs, control valves, vacuum systems, and process instrumentation.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Chemical, or Control Systems Engineering.
