Overview
Lead Medical Data Governance and Knowledge Management for the Medical Governance Office, ensuring medical data, records, decisions, and governance knowledge are complete, current, easy to find, traceable, and consistently managed.
What you'll do
- Establish and lead Medical Data Governance & Knowledge Management capability in the Bengaluru Global Capability Center.
- Develop and maintain the Medical ontology and a knowledge management framework.
- Translate approved MGO and Global Medical priorities into business definitions, data standards, relationships, and knowledge structures.
- Act as operational steward for assigned Medical data domains and maintain business glossary and domain metadata standards.
- Own and govern ontology, taxonomies, controlled vocabularies, governed relationships, and governance decision records.
- Coordinate repository and data quality checks and support audit/inspection readiness through evidence capture and gap remediation.
- Work with Medical teams to enable recording, maintenance, retrieval, reuse, and reduction of duplication of governance knowledge.
What you'll need
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience in data/knowledge governance and related areas.
- At least 4 years in biopharmaceutical, healthcare, or another highly regulated industry.
- Demonstrated experience in data governance, knowledge management, records/information management, repository management, data quality, or Medical operations.
- Experience establishing or improving data-ownership practices, common definitions, and data-quality checks.
- Experience with business glossaries, ontologies, taxonomies, controlled vocabularies, semantic relationships, knowledge graphs, or semantic search.
- Experience working with Medical Affairs, quality, governance, compliance, or another regulated business area in a global or matrixed organization.
- A bachelor’s degree in life sciences, data/information management, library and information science, information systems, quality, business, or a related discipline (required).
