Microsoft Infrastructure Support Engineer

Overview

Provide reactive break/fix support for customers’ Microsoft core infrastructure, with a primary focus on on-premises Windows Server and related technologies. Work across multiple customer environments to troubleshoot issues, resolve cases, and support service commitments.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot and resolve Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SCCM, and related infrastructure issues.
• Assess customer issues, identify root causes, and drive cases through resolution.
• Manage service requests through a case queue and provide status updates.
• Document troubleshooting, resolutions, communications, incidents, and changes.
• Communicate technical issues, business impact, next steps, and solutions to customers.
• Participate in on-call rotation, customer projects, infrastructure improvements, and peer mentoring.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years of Microsoft support experience, or 7 years of total IT engineering experience including 3 years of Microsoft support.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, domain controllers, and Group Policy.
• Experience troubleshooting Microsoft infrastructure in complex customer environments.
• Experience in ticket-driven, case-based, or reactive break/fix support.
• Customer-facing communication, documentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation, adjust working hours, and travel as needed.

Nice to have

• Managed Services Provider or Managed Services experience.
• Microsoft certifications related to Windows Server, endpoint management, Azure, or Microsoft 365.
• Exposure to Azure, Microsoft 365, or hybrid infrastructure environments.

Details

• Remote in the United States.
• Pay range: $77,725–$108,266 annually, depending on experience and skill set.
• Annual bonus target of 10%.
