National Sales Manager -GT

Overview

National Sales Manager for General Trade, responsible for driving sales performance, trade channel strategy, and execution of sales plans across national and zonal operations.

What you'll do

• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets across distribution, sales, profitability, merchandising, trade budget, and accounts receivables.
• Define and implement corrective measures when performance deviates from targets.
• Develop strategies for existing, new, or under-developed trade channels and markets.
• Run regular, standardized performance analysis and reporting versus agreed targets.
• Manage price levels, trade margins, and drive price list implementation in the country.
• Set clear OGSM for the sales organization and define working customer plans with Marketing.

What you'll need

• Min. 7 years zonal/India managerial experience in sales and trade-marketing for branded consumer products in India.
• At least +12 years of sales management experience (with no B2B).
• Graduate; MBA preferred.
• Experience guiding and motivating a large team and using personnel assessment tools.
• Experience creating and implementing sales and distribution plans and trade-marketing tools.
• Good knowledge of trade structure and sales-force management in India.
• Well versed with digital and omnichannel beyond MS Office tools; fluent in Hindi and English.

Details

• Location: Mumbai.
• Travelling: 2 weeks per month.
• Reports to: Dy. Sales Director; number of reportees: 6-8.
