Network Operations Engineer

Overview

Network Operations Engineer for the CloudOps team, responsible for keeping infrastructure secure, patched, and available across a multi-cloud environment.

What you'll do

• Monitor infrastructure health, performance, and security across Azure, AWS, Windows, Linux, and SQL Server.
• Triage incoming alerts, assess severity, take action, or escalate during a follow-the-sun on-call rotation.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents using runbooks and document outcomes.
• Plan, schedule, and execute patches and updates across cloud resources, servers, and databases.
• Maintain patch and compliance records to meet security and regulatory requirements.
• Track reliability metrics (SLA, MTTR, MTBF) and report to stakeholders.

What you'll need

• 2–4 years in cloud operations, systems administration, or network operations.
• Hands-on experience with Azure; exposure to AWS is mentioned as a plus.
• Ability to administer Windows and Linux systems and familiarity with SQL Server.
• Experience using monitoring/alerting tools such as Azure Monitor and Log Analytics (or equivalent).
• Experience with patch management processes.
• Track record of clear incident documentation and communication under pressure.
• Willingness to work a follow-the-sun on-call rotation, including off-hours coverage.

Nice to have

• Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-900) or AWS equivalents.
• Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) for automation.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (Bicep, Terraform, ARM) or CI/CD pipelines.
• Background in SRE practices or backup/disaster recovery (RTO/RPO).
